Pay: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year

New Haven is a private boarding school and residential treatment center for young women in grades 7–12, accredited by COGNIA. Our mission is to awaken ambition for learning, resiliency, and leadership. We are currently seeking a hands-on, PE teacher to join our team at our program in Spanish Fork. This is a unique opportunity to work in a small, nurturing, and highly collaborative teaching environment where innovation and creativity are encouraged.

• Design and implement engaging physical education curriculum that supports physical and wellness goals and meets the diverse needs of students.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and personal growth.
• Communicate with therapists, teachers, and residential staff regarding student progress.
• Monitor student progress, updating grades on a weekly basis 
• Maintain equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities.
• Promote lifelong wellness habits and educate students on the benefits of physical activity and healthy living.
• Participate in faculty meetings, staff training, and ongoing professional development.

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, or a related field (required).
• Valid Utah teaching license (preferred but not required).
• Experience working with adolescents, particularly in therapeutic, residential, or special education settings (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills.
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet the emotional and behavioral needs of students.
