As an Assistant Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in nurturing and guiding the young individuals in our care. Your responsibilities extend beyond traditional mentoring, and you'll step into a leadership role that helps create a safe, supportive environment for our students.
Building Lasting Relationships
Spending quality time with our teens allows you to cultivate strong and meaningful staff-student relationships. These connections are essential as they play a pivotal role in the progress and development of each student within our program. You become a mentor, a friend, and a source of inspiration, guiding them towards a brighter future.
Assistant Supervisors are required to work a minimum of 24 hours a week on their scheduled shifts, including their 2 Sundays a month. They can work up to 30 hours if desired.
Healthcare Team Leadership: Assist in directing and managing the Mentors on your shift, recognizing and rewarding exceptional work.
Delegation: Delegate responsibilities to shift members as appropriate.
On-Shift Orientation: Assist in providing new hires with on-shift orientation using the provided checklist.
Effective Communication: Keep the team informed by sharing pertinent events occurring during your shift in shift change meetings with the relieving supervisor or night staff.
Interdisciplinary Representation: When needed, represent your shift at the weekly interdisciplinary Treatment Team meeting.
Safety Preparedness: May conduct safety drills on a quarterly basis as instructed by the Supervisor, ensuring a secure environment.
Hands-On Care: Perform the duties of a Mentor at an exemplary level, leading by example.
Program Coordination: Be responsible for executing the program events calendar.
Leadership Support: Work collaboratively with Supervisors, leading Sunday shifts and other periods when they are unavailable, ensuring continuous care for our students.
Medication Assistance: Assist in the distribution of medications, ensuring students receive proper care under the guidance of the Supervisor.
Engaging Activities: Engage with our teen students in various activities, fostering their emotional and social well-being, from cultural outings to outdoor adventures.
Safety Champion: Prioritize the safety and well-being of our students during activities, nurturing an environment founded on trust and personal growth.
Mentor Development: Under the Supervisor's guidance, actively participate in the training and development of our Mentors, empowering them to deliver the highest level of care.
Adaptability: Be ready to take on other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our team and program.
